“My vision for a rejuvenated Chula Vista is one of a destination for innovation, binational commerce, culture, family and fun. A Chula Vista built by Chula Vistans for Chula Vistans!”
- Ammar Campa-Najjar
Ammar’s Vision for a Rejuvenated Chula Vista
Supporting Working Families, Youth, and Seniors
As mayor, Ammar will work to address the rising costs of gas, utilities, and groceries; help working families and the unsheltered pursue their dream of homeownership, build more workforce housing for teachers, police, firefighters, and other public workers so they can have a personal stake in the communities they serve.
Make our neighborhoods more accessible for seniors; keep schools open, and address 2 years of pandemic learning loss. Reopen parks and recs, promote summer jobs programs, and after-school activities to empower our youth and ensure their success.
Public safety
Ammar will accomplish what our current elected politicians have failed to do: Grow our economy and make our neighborhoods safer by reducing traffic with road development, addressing homelessness, hiring 40 additional police officers to reduce crime, equal pay for firefighters, senior services, and getting deadly drugs like fentanyl off our streets and away from our youth.
Small Businesses, Jobs and Economy
As a small business owner, executive for the US Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and Department of Labor official, Ammar has the experience we need to support our diverse local businesses as our city grows, attract good-paying jobs to Chula Vista, and strengthen our local economy by delivering long-overdue projects like the Chula Vista Bay Front and rejuvenate the Chula Vista Shopping Center on Broadway.
